Every community has its unique interests and topics to discuss. However, separate topics might be irrelevant to some of you and we don’t want you to get spammed. That’s why we have created 4 simple rules of posting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS ABOUT EVENTS
Moderators will start announcements about upcoming events using the following formats: - #example_tonight (ex. #js-tonight, #ai-tonight, #design-tonight) to announce community events hosted and organised by Rails Reactor. - #meetup_tonight_friends to announce community events hosted and organised outside of Rails Reactor by other communities. Dear organisers, please reach out to moderators of Meetup Tonight for informational support.
SHARING INFORMATION IN CHAT
Any chat member can share a piece of technical/business information (such as blogpost/podcast etc.) or ask for an advice, starting such post with: #example_today (ex. #js_today, #ai_today). It brings ease of reading and further filtering for other chat members by tapping on the proper hashtag. Replying / commenting to such posts dosn’t require additional tags.
Meetup Tonight has educational purposes for IT specialists. Please avoid posting and discussing side topics, such as politics, economics, weather, music, lifestyle, Vacancies, etc., unless it touches the application of technical/IT solutions to other industries. Irrelevant posts might be deleted by moderators.
Offensive posts and language, provocations, threatening, blackmailing and blatant lie are prohibited and might result in membership cancellation.
